Superior Care celebrates staff excellence

When it comes to building a thriving company culture, we think we're setting the standard.

This month, we hosted our first staff awards evening to recognise the outstanding contributions of our dedicated employees, who all swapped their uniforms for glamorous outfits as they gathered to celebrate their own and their colleagues' achievements.

Held at the Copthorne Hotel in Dudley, it was co-hosted by Baroness Floella Benjamin alongside company CEO Shindar Chall and directors Amrit Sumal and Pam Bhandal.

Also in attendance and giving an opening address was Shanna Wells from the Care Workers’ Charity and Nadra Ahmed from the National Care Workers Association. Kieron Broadbent from West Midlands Care Association and Shirley Way from Skills for Care wera also a big part of the evening’s celebrations.

The ceremony honoured excellence across ten categories, including Home Manager of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Nurse of the Year. Nominations were submitted by staff, residents, and families, ensuring a fair and inclusive selection process.

Shindar Chall, CEO of Superior Care, commented on the event's significance: "The evening was all about celebrating the incredible dedication and hard work of our staff – the unsung heroes who go above and beyond every single day. Their contributions never go unnoticed, and this was our chance to show our gratitude. To us, every single person is a winner."

The presence of Baroness Floella Benjamin, a renowned advocate for diversity and inclusion, added additional prestige to the occasion. Her participation underscored the importance of recognising and celebrating the vital work performed by care home staff.

This inaugural awards evening marks a significant milestone for us, highlighting the our commitment to acknowledging and rewarding the dedication of our employees. The event's success suggests it may become an annual tradition, further boosting morale and fostering a culture of excellence within the organisation.

We continue to set high standards in elderly care across our four homes, with this awards ceremony serving as a testament to the quality and compassion of staff.
